The PEV passenger car market in Ireland was up 2% in April, having registered 42 units, with YTD registrations doing even better, with a 34% growth rate.
The Hyundai Ioniq Electric was the best-selling car last month, with 27 deliveries, winning for the first time the monthly award, followed at a distance by the Nissan Leaf, with 7 registrations, and the BMW 330e, with 4.
In the Year-to-date ranking, the Nissan hatchback is on the lead (170 units), but the Second Placed Hyundai Ioniq Electric (148) is not far behind, this being the first time since 2012 that another model is seriously challenging the Nissan Leaf domination in Ireland.
Finally, the Third Placed BMW 330e (77 units) cemented its podium place and best-selling PHEV status.
