Norway has registered 4.215 new PEV passenger cars in April, up 62% Year-on-Year, with an interesting change in the BEV/PHEV breakdown. For the first time, plug-in hybrids (2.224 units) outsold battery electric vehicles (1.991), it will be interesting to know if this is a one-time event or part of a longer term trend.

The VW Golf GTE (602 units, new personal best) was the best seller in April, followed by the Nissan Leaf (541 units) and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (507 units).

Final mention to the brilliant performance of the Volkswagen Passat GTE, registering 361 units and outselling for the first time their ICE brethren’s (323 units), while the VW e-Golf registered only 489 units, its worst performance in 16 months.
