Tesla Model S #1 in February in The Netherlands
The Netherlands have registered 490 plug-in passenger cars last month, up 10% Year-on-Year, with Year-to-date now at 1.207 units, up 19% YoY.
Breaking down sales by model, the Tesla Model S had 153 registrations last month, followed by the Nissan Leaf (79 units) and the all-electric version of the BMW i3 (72), making it a 100% BEV podium, a rare event in this market.
In the Year-to-date ranking, the Tesla Model S is now in leadership, with 218 units, followed by the Second Placed BMW i3 BEV (158 registrations), while in #3 is the Nissan Leaf, with 142 units.
The best selling plug-in hybrid is the Volvo XC90 PHEV, with 70 registrations, being only Seventh in the PEV ranking, reflecting the 48% PHEV sales slump derived from the end of plug-in hybrid incentives.
On the other hand, BEVs are up 107% YoY, representing 75% of all PEV registrations this year.
