Tesla and Renault Zoe Shine in June

The Netherlands have registered 442 plug-in passenger cars last month, down 43% Year-on-Year, with Year-to-date registrations now at 4.375 units, down 18% YoY, with PHEVs dropping a harsh 79%, due to the end of company incentives for this kind of techonology.

Breaking down sales by model, the all-electric BMW i3 had 77 registrations last month, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq Electric (53 units) and the Tesla Model S (40), making it once again a 100% BEV podium.

In the Year-to-date ranking, the Tesla Model S is firm in leadership, with 868 units, followed by the Tesla Model X (518), while the Fourth Placed BMW i3 BEV (490 units) is closing in on the Third Placed Hyundai Ioniq Electric (495).

The best-selling plug-in hybrids in July were the Volvo S/V90 PHEV twins, that with 13 registrations in their first full sales month, surpassed the Volvo XC90 PHEV (12 units) and Porsche Panamera PHEV (11).

Looking at the PEV LCV (N1) market, the numbers are quite positive, with 282 registrations this year, up 72% Year-on-year, mostly thanks to the addition of the German model Streetscooter Work that with 137 deliveries this year, won the Best Seller status, ahead of the Nissan e-NV200 (92 units) and Citröen Berlingo EV (22).
