Nissan Leaf still #1, but BMW 330e shines in Ireland

Ireland has registered 113 plug-in passenger cars in July, up 13% Year-on-Year, but with all-electric vehicles losing steam, being outpaced by plug-in hybrids (55 BEV’s vs 58 PHEV’s).

Ireland’s favorite PEV, the Nissan Leaf, continues to lead the way (54 units in July), but the recently arrived BMW 330e had a record month (33 units), scoring the best monthly result ever for a plug-in hybrid, so the Leaf might have found a real contender here.

In the Year-to-date ranking, the Nissan Leaf leads, with 312 units, followed from afar by the PHEV pack: The Volvo XC90 PHEV (55 units), BMW 330e (44) and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (25), all contributing for the 20% rise in sales, regarding the same period of 2015.
