Nissan Leaf and Volkswagen e-Up! run for the Leadership
Lithuania has registered 72 plug-in passenger cars this year, up 85% Year-on-Year, with growth not coming from PHEV’s, that have stagnated (14 units, same as last year), but from BEV´s, which are up 132% to 58 units, up from just 25 units last year.
Proof of this shift in the market, is the fact that the Top Five in the ranking are all BEV’s, with the VW e-Up! and the Nissan Leaf distanced from the competition, with the Volkswagen model running ahead with 21 units and the Japanese Hatchback behind, with 16.
An interesting characteristic of this market is the popularity of the Nissan e-Evalia, the passenger version of the e-NV200 van, which appears in Third, with 7 registrations.
