Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and Nissan Leaf run for the Leadership in Spain

Spain has registered 260 new PEV passenger cars in June, up 70% Year-on-Year, with the 1.813 units sold so far this year representing an impressive 163% improvement over the same period in 2015. Although the bulk of growth comes from plug-in hybrids, up 265% and now outselling for the first time all-electric cars in this market.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (41 units in June, 379 in total) and the Nissan Leaf (45 units in June, 327 in total) have been disputing the leadership since the beginning of the year, with the Third Placed in the Year-to-date ranking, the Renault Zoe, running significantly behind the first two, with only 186 units.

A mention to the Volvo XC90 PHEV performance, with 32 units in June, it has beaten its personal best and is placed as the Third Best Selling PEV that month.
