Italy is back at the slow lane

Italy’s PEV market has stumbled again, having registered only 131 new passenger cars in May, down 33% Year-on-Year, with the total number for 2016 now mounting to 1.134 units, up 5% regarding the same period last year.

The Nissan Leaf (33 units) was once again the best seller in May, followed by the BMW 225xe Active Tourer (25 units) and the veteran Citroën C-Zero (20 units).

Final mention to the brilliant performance of the Tesla Model S, registering 13 units in May and 82 YTD (last year it had delivered 20 units until May), while the VW e-Up! registered 16 units, its best performance in 14 months.
